Huawei Technologies Co is a Chinese telecommunications equipment consumer electronics manufacturer in Shenzhen , Republic of China . Huawei was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei who currently still serves as “Founder & CEO” , Ren Zhengfei was a former engineer serving 9 successful years in the People’s Liberation Army. The People’s Liberation Army is sternly the active military of the People’s Republic of China founded by the Communist Party of China . This is definitely not something security experts view as worthy of doing business with Huawei Technologies corporation due too Mr. Ren Zhengfei military involvement with the Communist government . Huawei is generously funded by the Chinese Government . Huawei is currently ranked globally as the 2nd most dominant manufacturer of modern smartphones with Apple coming in right behind them in third place .
Before the Senate Intelligence Committee on February 12th 2019, US intelligence chiefs, FBI Director Christopher Wray and CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Strongly cautioned against buying products from Huawei.
We’re deeply concerned about the risks of allowing any company or entity that is beholden to foreign governments that don’t share our values to gain positions of power inside our telecommunications networks. That provides the capacity to exert pressure or control over our telecommunications infrastructure. It provides the capacity to maliciously modify or steal information. And it provides the capacity to conduct undetected espionage.

Years of investigations and inspections concluded that there is no direct evidence indicating Huawei is using its equipment to spy on network traffic inside any other country including the United States Of America. The exploitation fear comes from the fact that Huawei’s equipment and services are very cheap and very reliable, Many networks want to keep 5G expansion cost minimal, Networks see and know Huawei’s equipment is cheap and very reliable, So why wouldn’t the networks choose Huawei’s equipment, If cellular networks choose to expand and implement Huawei’s equipment there most likely going to do it on a massive scale across the network especially in major metropolitan areas. That in fact is what security experts fear, Once the 5G network is up and running they fear in the years to come the Chinese government will find an exploit and vulnerability and start spying around other countries business and secrets, And once an intrusion has taken place in this type of scenario your already way to late!
Cellular Co. want Huawei and Huawei wants them!
The fact that Huawei is staying in the news is because cellular network companies like Verizon and Sprint want Huawei’s equipment and services to expand into 5G network technology because like we stated before their equipment is cheap and reliable this will keep expansion cost down also resulting in the end-user network subscriber monthly bills cost-effective and reasonable.
To add to the heated debate over the use of Huawei’s equipment in the USA
Ren Zhengfei’s daughter Meng Wanzhou current CFO of Huawei was arrested on December 1 in Canada and extradited to United States Of America over fears the company violated US sanctions against Iran. She has been charged with fraud by a United States prosecutor, Meng allegedly did dealings with a Iranian subsidiary, Meng tried to cover up Huawei’s dealings in Iran.Documents filed in a New York federal district court allege that Meng and Skycom, which is registered in Hong Kong however operates in Iran, handled millions of dollars in orders with the Iranians in violation of these us sanctions. Huawei and Huawei USA have been charged with obstructing justice in connection. Recently Huawei was accused of stealing T-Mobile USA trade secrets the tech giant denied those accusations.
These legal issues are certainly a strong key reason when it comes to determining the “worthy” factor and “security” risk associated with doing business transactions and placing orders with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd
